I had already made the fries and didn’t know what to do with them. Just got whatever I had in the fridge and slapped it in a pan because I was just hungry and couldn’t be bothered…

    Are those soy curls? If so, do you get them directly from the Butler website, or is there a different brand you prefer? I love the tvp crumbles, but I think bigger chunks would be better in certain recipes.

      If you have a Mexican market near you, check out the bagged spices section. There’s usually tvp in decent sized bags near the dried spices and it’s really cheap.

        I’ll have to check that out. Right now I’m paying about $4/bag from Amazon, but cheaper would be great.

        Butler is the original brand that made soy curls. It sounds like your tvp strips are comparable.

    I made something similar a while ago. I think there’s a name for it. It’s almost like a mexican poutine.

    Edit: I think it was called Vegan carne asada fries.
