    Well the thing about that is, well, what is color? Is it, as Sam Harris would say, the way light reflects off an object and reacts in the eye, or is it something more? Y’know Carl Jung put forth that color represent- ed more than a spectrum of light but a representation of one’s inner character, roughly speaking. So is it enough to have a favorite color, or should the right question be “what is the color that best represents your personality?” Your big five personality more specifically. When people ask me this question, as they inevitably do, I can’t help but think “you absolute son of a bitch”. To think that our desire for simple answers can lead us to be so arrogrant is absurd. Just look at the Bible for God’s sake. In the Bible, I can’t remember exactly where at the moment, it is said that the heavens are as a paved work of sapphire stone. So Heaven is seen as blue, as it’s often thought of to be in the sky as well. I mean obviously! So maybe the answer should be blue, not just for me but for all of us. Because Heaven is when the balance of chaos and order are set in perfect order. That’s the idea. But then why do we use blue as a metaphor for sadness?
