Focused on a quartet of mismatched characters forced to live together by circumstance, “Red Dwarf” is a situation comedy in its purest form. The thing that sets it apart is that said situation is somewhere in the middle of deep space, three million years in the future on a dilapidated, city-sized spaceship Red Dwarf, arguably one of the coolest spaceships in sci-fi.

I love British sitcoms but this is a hard watch for me. The ideas are very clever but the acting and dialogue feels a little amateurish (I feel really bad for saying this because the show is so beloved and gets tons of praise). I’ve only gotten so far as the begging of the second episodw. I will have to give it another go.

if you don’t like s01 e02 future echoes you might as well give up on it.
thats one of the best episodes.
the rest is basically just more of the same the same idiot characters, in slightly different scifi situations.
