Those D-box seats or whatever that move and rumble in the newer IMAX setups are actually kinda rad.
Stuff like that is worth going to the theater for because it’s complex and costly to replicate at home, but the rest of the experience like a good screen, high quality audio, and a comfortable seating experience with good food can be achieved very easily.
It also doesn’t help that there is basically only one theater company in Canada and they just kinda do whatever, including random digital upcharges which have been under investigation by the government as anti-competitive.
