Wife and I just watched the first episode of this season’s Amazing Race Canada. The race started in Winnipeg, and it looks like the contestants spent a grand total of 35 minutes here before spending the rest of this leg in Calgary. It was kind of cool seeing the city on TV, but I can’t help but feel like we got done dirty. They could have easily had more challenges here to show off our great city but instead we got to see Calgary’s library and some douche hipster bar.
My GF watches this show, and it infuriates me, because it’s loaded to the tits with extremely intrusive ads. She complains about the ads, but refuses to watch something else. Then she gets angry when I tell her that the only way it will change is to stop watching it. Bah.
