Nice! Nanaimo, just south of Qualicum, got it’s hands on the un-redacted version of an internal report by Fortis (natural gas supplier) that outlined how bad it was for the environment. Fortis publicly misrepresented the report, then got called out publicly as a bunch of liars by Nanaimo’s city council. I believe natural gas is no longer supplied to Nanaimo and Fortis lost their contract.

Southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia is quite environmentally minded.
