The Winnipeg Jets acquired forward Sean Monahan from the Montreal Canadiens on Friday.
The Canadiens received a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional 2027 third-round pick in exchange.
Monahan, 29, ranks third on the Canadiens with 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) and has appeared in all 49 games this season.
We needed PP help. And faceoffs. And just generally some redundancy in the event of playoff injuries. It’s a good move and the price isn’t too bad. We will see how he plays.
