Yeah, that’s what I thought too. I don’t want to be to harsh on it since it’s also the first in the series, but there are definitely some weird choices from the game design perspective I’d say. Still, it layed the groundwork for Luigi’s Mansion 2 and 3, which I both really like.
I guess it’s still worth a try if one is interested in the series’s origin.
It was fun at the time but also felt like a tech demo for the GameCube more than a fully fleshed out game.
