I like these types of lists because there’s always a recency bias. The 7th Doctor was ranked the best in the 90s but now he’s viewed much less favorably. I hated the 12th at first and now he’s one of my favorites.

Anyway here’s Wonderwall

Best - 4th I mean obviously who else could it be?

10th/14th Yes I am combining them

3rd Criminally underrated

12th I absolutely love how 12 is more of a scientist

11th For his first two seasons at least

9th My first Doctor

5th I like the celery bit

1st Bitter old man, it works

15th Too soon to call it but so far so good

2nd Almost as good as the 1st

13th I think Jodie did the best she could with the horrendous writing she was given

7th No strong feelings on him

6th Other than his jacket I remember nothing about him

Worst - 8th That movie was hot garbage I’m not sorry, I don’t count his cameos

    1. Tom Baker - The most “alien” of Doctor’s and also my first growing up, so I’m more than a little biased.

    2. Troughton - Whimsical and delightful while still embodying that alien spirit. It’s unfortunate so many of his serials are lost to time.

    3. Pertwee - Brought a lot of action to the role as well as a gruff persona which acted as an extension to Hartnell’s.

    4. Tennant - Best of the new Who Doctor’s by a wide margin and could arguably surpass Baker as the actor most synonymous with the role.

    5. Hartnell - I love his angry old man persona but there’s a lot of whimsy and mischievousness behind it as well.

    6. McCoy - I didn’t like him a lot at first but upon revisiting the show I love his mind games and willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed.

    7. Capaldi - One of the best actor’s (from an objective standpoint) to tackle the role and I generally appreciated his entire run.

    8. Davison - Another great actor that brought a nicely rounded, “human” element to an alien character.

    9. Smith - Not as huge a fan of his run as some, but he’s definitely a solid addition to the show’s history and has some solid moments.

    10. Eccleston - He was great, but his run was too short to really cement him any higher on this list.

    11. Whittaker - She was great, but the writing really let her down.

    12. Colin Baker - He was great, but the show had no idea what it wanted to be. His Big Finish stuff is excellent.

13T. Gatwa/McGann - Sample size is too small.
