Does this mean that any country could treat troublesome minorities in the exact same way without violating the genocide convention? Just provoke a terrorist attack and then bomb and starve them without any worry. Seems like Israel found a cheat code to get the benefits of genocide without technically committing genocide. I don’t think this is a net positive for the world.
The thing that I don’t see discussed is: so what if this isn’t genocide?
