I’m looking for a system with chest thumping bass for movies and music, and the Logitech z623 seems like the only option in the market based on reviews.

I don’t necessarily plan to set up my ‘perfect’ home theater until I have a home of my own. So, I suppose a 2.1 system like the Z623 should suffice for now.

I’m after pure, deep bass that you can physically feel traveling through your chest, not just hear. Many systems claim “deep bass” but it often turns out to be loud, boomy noise that doesn’t translate to physical impact.

How does the Z623’s bass compare, and does it justify its $180 price? I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment.
