Hi,

When I bought the house, it came with 4 ceiling speakers in the family room. The location is a bit odd. I want to add them to my 3.1 system (to make 7.1 system). My fronts are floor/tower speakers.

Here are the placement of them:

  • The front ceiling speakers are almost above my front speakers.
  • The rear ceiling speakers are above the sofa where I sit.

I have Marantz Cinema 50. And I have the option to set them either as surround, surround back, or height speakers.

Should I set them as:

  1. Front ceiling as surround, rear ceiling as surround back.
  2. Front ceiling as height, rear ceiling as surround.
  3. Set them all as height speakers.
  4. None of the above.
