Reportedly this will share continuity with the 2016 Shin Godzilla movie, but it’s hard to imagine how that can be. Regardless I’m excited to see the followup to Shin Godzilla!

I LOVE Godzilla movies and I’m so glad that Japan is still making them while America has their own series going. Shin Godzilla was amazing and it’s interesting that this is going to follow. That poster is beautiful and I need one!

Shin was awesome. That same strange film quality looks like it’s in this one too, I’m down for it. I wonder if this Godzilla will be a spawn from Shins tail or something.

YES! I loved the look of Shin. Had kind of an old documentary feel.

I’m curious too where he will come from. I can’t make out what the cutout on the poster is but it looks like a tail. But not G’s tail because no spikes.

The quality looks like the original series. Definitely went for a models and costumes look. What surprised me is Godzilla is 100% CGI the entire time in Shin. I thought for sure the film style was working around using puppets for a lot of it. Nope. Especially the “larva/baby” version that crawls down the street in the beginning.

They actually made those googlie eyes on purpose in CGI haha I love it

            Oh yeah, you’re right!

I did not know Shin was all CGI. That’s pretty amazing. They definitely went for the original puppet/costume look. And yes those eyes! Haha
