Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert and Padres third baseman Manny Machado were named MLB's Players of the Week on Monday, as the league announced its final weekly award winners of the first half of the season.

Pitching sixteen innings of one-run ball against two good lineups will do that, I guess.
