What, exactly, is fascism to you?

I feel like conservatives throw the word around with not a single idea of what it means. Somehow Trump saying that immigrants poisoning the blood America isn’t fascist, even though fascists said exactly that, but Democrats are for citing the unacceptable, anti-democratic, anti-American behavior of Republicans, matching that behavior with certain laws, and arguing that they’re ineligible to hold office.

So, what is fascism to you?

        …mkay…go on.

A definition is not an argument; water is H2O doesn’t mean anything in and of itself.

How do Democrats fit that definition?

How do they not fit that definition? That’s their party platform in a nutshell

            Democratic Party Platform

I’m so confident that Democrats aren’t fascists that I’ll literally give you sources. Do you need anything else?

Oh! Here’s a historical database of them!

Go hog wild! Don’t let me put words in your mouth: explicitly make the connections.

Check. The sources confirm the definition.

Who is trying to make the economy “fair”? Democrats. You know Hitler did that too.

Who is trying to use forced vocabulary on people? Dem pets. So did Hitler.

Who is trying to divide people by race? Well gosh both groups did that.

Who is trying to ban their political opponents? Both groups again.

The list goes on and on. It’s very well now the two are the same. They always have been the same. Democrats wanted the right to own and control people. The Republicans had to show them otherwise.

                Your argument is basically:

                • A did X
                • B did X
                • Therefore, A is B.

                Applied form of your argument:

                • I drink water.
                • You drink water
                • Therefore, I’m you.

If only we could somehow differentiate between ourselves!

Democrats wanted the right to own and control people.

We’ve argued about this before. You said slavery-lovers didn’t move to the Republican party then quoted an authority that contradicted you.

In any case, it’s clearly Republicans that want to own and control people. And I mean, quite literally own. It’s the former Southern states, modern Republican strongholds, that have the highest prison populations. They’re really working that exception in the 13th amendment, just like they used to.

Secondly, Christian Dominionism is a right-wing phenomenon.

What would the perfectly reconstructed society look like? Rushdoony taught that it would provide man—specifically the male gender—with the greatest possible freedom, due to the absence of a government that currently limits that freedom. A federal government would no longer be responsible for laws that govern public safety, social programs (including public schools and welfare), or just about anything else.

Instead, society would be reconstructed so that the male-headed family and local church fulfill the roles that currently belong to the government, which would have the authority only to protect private property and punish capital offenses. Families and churches, as the cornerstones of the reconstructed society, would implement Mosaic law, with Christ as king over what would have become a Christian nation. Without government welfare, churches would carry the responsibility of aid to the poor, and without public schools, families would be responsible for their own children’s education.

These right wing conservatives want to control women and the poor, exploiting them for children, child labor, and value extraction without interference. Their whole ideology is literally “dominion”. And Ted “It’s time for a vacation!” Cruz is naturally an adherent. And so are prominent people of the hate group Moms For Liberty.

And, thirdly, and quite differentiating from Democrats, is the fact that Republicans, and Republicans alone, that routinely reject attempts to distance institutions from neo-nazis. They voted against investigating them in the military; under Trump, the U.S. voted against condemning the glorification of Nazism; Texas GOP executive committee voted against a ban on associating with Nazi sympathizers.

It’s Republicans and conservatives that want to make the economy unfair. It’s Republican fake news that forces vocabulary like “CRT” and “groomer” that have meanings completely divorced from what their definitions. It’s Republicans are prey on white pride, exacerbating racism with their constant race baiting. And it’s Republicans who go further than banning political opponents; rather, they attempt to intimidate them into submission with election watchers and trying to rig elections…even going so far as to stage an insurrection.

                  A did X B did X Therefore, A is B.

Not at all. It’s the two share similar ideologies. Both even show the same hatred of Jews. Joe is excluded from that part since he has strongly advocated for Israeli.

Then you make the same form of argument:

It’s the two share similar ideologies. Both even show the same hatred of Jews.

                    Good stuff.
