      I think it should be a bit worrying for people outside russia too. This is literal practice for a world war scenario. We can meme all you want but I don’t like seeing countries crossing items in that checklist.

        Would this not be similar to China…although…what are other items do you need to cross off before going to world war? Asking for…ahh… A friend…

      My thought is that this is so they can some kind of crippling attach on global internet infrastructure, without themselves being affected

        This gives everyone a great opportunity to filter out all the IP’s that belong to the nefarious element in Russia as they would, no doubt, remain connected.

          We have the same issue with China, even though ‘nefarious elements’ is country agnostic, those attacking from China, from within the great firewall, still does so, and filtering the nefarious still isn’t trivial. I wouldn’t believe this would be any different, but I have no knowledge about their system, just the assumption that they have adopted a lot of the same techniques and procedures.

          Edit: Changed from ‘nefarious people’ to ‘nefarious element’ as mentioned in the comment
