Making this early as I doubt I’ll be able to watch live this weekend. I need to take the little one to a kids birthday party 😬.

Anyway, post away your thoughts from the qualifying session in the future!

      Who would replace him? Yuki?

I know a lot of people are wishing for DR, but…is that really realistic?

If Williams can find some money and keep developing the car it makes sense to stay. But if the money is not there then it makes sense to jump.

From the Beyond the Grid pod with James Vowles he was saying the team has significant funding behind it. Issue is the money is being spent on the facilities and being the processes and systems up to date.

I’m hoping Albon can stay. He fits the team nicely I think.

I didn’t even consider him coming back just because he’s no longer an RB guy at all.

But yeah, OK, I’d be down with Albon in the second RB seat.

I’m hoping for them to bump Yuki to Checos seat next season. I doubt they’ll do anything mid season, and as much as I’d love to see Danny Ric back in the Red Bull seat I think that ship has sailed.

Yuki in the Red Bull 2024 though? And hell then throw Danny Ric in the AT.

        A man can dream.

There has to be someone lobbying hard for Danny Ric to replace Checo, especially after 5(!!!) missed Q3s. That’s extremely embarrassing for someone in the fastest car.

My heart skipped a beat there when Lando was first. Excellent result either way and such a difference from the start of the year for McLaren

I literally gasped out loud and yelled out “OMG!” when that happened, not realizing Lando was one of the first over the line. But then the motorsports gods (aka Max himself) made sure RB got that P1.

I loved Lando’s cheeky, “Max ruins for everything for everyone,” in response to the interviewer mentioning Lando almost getting P1. I don’t understand how people don’t like Lando; I think he’s hilarious. Obviously him and Max are good friends, too.

      Excellent day for McLaren!

I don’t wish harm on Max, but if he could bin it tomorrow and McLaren finish 1/2 I would be so happy.

Yo. I actually screamed when Lando crossed that line in Q3 and Piastri too. Super happy for Albon as well!

God damn has the McLaren improved. Also piastri proving a massive upgrade on ricciardo already.

Perez out in Q1 again. Yikes.

Also what’s up with the Alfa’s just shutting off randomly? Isn’t this the third race in a row it has happened?

Damn what an ending of Q1. Times just came tumbling down. Happy to see Williams through, the dream lives on
