I understand this sentiment but it is important to remember that all of the Russian population lives in a propaganda bubble. Anti-government messengers are regularly disappeared. They literally don’t know any better in most cases. This is the way of war. They’re fighting for the invader and will likely die if they do not surrender and deservedly so - but that just makes it that much more tragic.
