Why are people posting Daily Wire like anything they say matters?

Obviously not reading the article, but the reasoning is it’s only for locations on state owned property at rest stops.

Because Sunday is a big travel day and it makes zero sense to let a company that’s not open have that contract with the state.

Any Chikfila on land they own can close whenever they want. No on is trying to change that.

What’s the point of posting articles from propaganda sites when the title is misinformation and no one in their right mind would click a link to Daily Wire?

    Edit:

If anyone wants a decent source, here’s where I heard of it a few days ago:

Assemblymember Tony Simone, a Democrat whose district includes Chelsea, the theater district, and business-heavy midtown Manhattan, has proposed legislation that would require food-service companies at rest areas and transportation facilities along the New York State Thruway — a nearly 500 miles long stretch of road that connects New York City to Buffalo — to be open seven days a week.

I understand why Daily Wire wrote it, I just don’t understand why people would post it on social media, or even why it’s an acceptable source for a sub that’s supposed to be about serious discussions of politics.

It’s like posting Weekly World News to a news sub.

Nothing on that site is based on reality. At most it’s a tiny nugget of fact completely misrepresented. Like a picture of a log floating in a lake is still a real picture. The issue is if someone claims it proves the Loch Ness monster is real.

That’s the level of journalism on Daily Wire.

This seems like one of those cases where it ends up in the Supreme Court, and Republicans use it as a rallying cry. It’s not that big of a deal, but they will make it a big deal.

This isn’t state wide and only along the New York State Thruway. Airports have long denied contracts to Chick-fil-A because they’re not open on Sundays.

Any contracts entered into for the operation of food services or food concessions at public transportation facilities owned or operated by the authority shall require that such services be provided every day of the week

If they want to remain closed on Sundays, they can do so at non-public transportation facilities.
