    Political interference and regime change isn’t exactly designed to strike fear into anyone in particular, it was all about power projection and creating perceived buffers against the spread of communism. Not sure how any of that falls under the definition of terrorism

      Riiiiight… the death squads terrorized no-one - all the torture, rape and murder was performed in a civilized manner. Just like the massive and indiscriminate bombings!

      No terrorism to see here, folks!

        Yeah but the CIA didn’t do any of those things, the military did the bombings and the death squads were funded but not operated by the CIA. Sponsor of terrorism? Sure, I can see that a argument. Terrorist organization though is just an incorrect label imo.
