If you walk into the Toronto Maple Leafs practice facility dressing room, you might miss Martin Jones at first.

He’ll be there, of course. He just won’t be seated near where the Leafs goalies sit at the front of the room. Instead, Jones, 33, sits patiently in a worn-out undershirt right by the entrance doors, in a stall generally reserved for emergency call-ups, if occupied at all.

It’s not a seat that screams “long-term option.” But it’s a seat Jones is getting used to. And it’s a seat he might end up thriving in for his fourth NHL team in four seasons.
