Swiping is imprecise, andriod/iOS use predictive models to guess which word you’re trying to type… and it’s usually (but not always,) awful at it. Especially with words that have duplicate letters like hello and lemmy.

Try making a little circle or wiggle over the double letters instead of just hovering.
