UFCW Canada Local 401 members working at the Maple Leaf Pork facility in Lethbridge, Alberta have achieved a new collective agreement that brings wage increases, the introduction of a pension plan, improved benefits, and more.

    The new agreement includes wage increases totaling $3 per hour over the life of the agreement and $1.50 per hour immediately upon ratification, equaling a near 20% pay increase to the base rate.

    The new contract also includes the introduction of a new Maple Leaf pension plan with immediate enrollment for all current members.
