It’s probably a century old at this point. I’m now starting to think it’s one of those words that never got adoption outside the commonwealth. Maybe it’s just Australia where we wrote songs about pushbikes 50 years ago.

Pushbike.
It’s not a new word. Motorised bikes have been a thing for a century and the language is already settled.
