I am looking to get some underwear to help ensure I avoid accidental collisions while I’m dancing.

Obviously “collisions” are all well and good if you have the consent of your partner but when I’m just trying to show a good time for a partner who’s never seen me before and this partner is not keen on being assaulted I think it probably would be best to have planned ahead.

Are there any underwears that are capably constructed for the purpose of “catching” one’s erection and directing it in a safer direction than “out”? The only suggestiona I’ve found are sources telling highschoolers to just wear really tight briefs. Now that might be better than nothing but it is still problematic to have a mash of flesh the size of a goddamn baseball interfering with the scant inches between me and a partner.

In plain language, the solution I’m imagining would be some reasonably but comfortably tight boxer briefs that don’t have a large pouch at the crotch but rather have a space to direct myself while flaccid alongside one leg so that when things wake up it safely grows down the length of my pants and is securely held from poking out and in the way.

Do shorts like this exist or do I need to become a seamstress?

Sounds like you’re after a dance belt, which is what professional dancers use to support their genitalia and help to hide erections.

But I’m also of the opinion that if you’re dancing really close with a guy, especially if grinding is involved, then boners should be expected.

Oh yeah, if there’s grinding then yeah, boner’s are basically the point and your partner is likely to feel some kind of way if they don’t find one. But until my partner puts their flesh against my flesh, or makes an explicit statement of their desire to that effect, I don’t want to be the one who crosses that line.

  • I can think of 3 options here. One is a product called a “dance belt” designed for this exact purpose.

Second is a pair of what people call under shorts or compression shorts. Think tight Lycra that professional cyclists wear that holds everything in place right against your body.

Third option would be to tuck or tuck and tape (note there are health risks associated with tuck and tape especially if done for long periods of time tucking is easier but not as secure and you’ll have to periodically readjust). Simple tuck could be just pulling back between your legs before you pull up your underwear. More complicated one involves this thing called gaff underwear.

Looks like the dance belt is exactly what I’m looking for but I’m interested in this gaff underwear. It looks like it’s most marketed to MtF trans folks and that is a pretty solid mark of approval as to its effectiveness. I’m gonna see what I can find out in the real world now and we’ll see what I find.

      Thanks!

The briefs I know called Saxx do the opposite, elevating the testicles to improve cooling. I remember the tight pants of the Napoleon era were custom fit specifically to direct tumescence. A looser fit should help, and boxers that allow you to dangle should help keep things pointed in the right direction.
