    Is it still a pain to maintain or did things improve in any way?

      Honestly the move to a different server was to stop it overloading other services on the old one, the constant restarts of the messenger services had it sitting constantly at 50% CPU which was stealing capacity from other things I’m hosting. But when I moved it I tweaked RabbitMQ and Messenger and they seem to be running a little more reliably.
