The Fediverse definitely takes some getting used to. Like for one thing, your reputation and sorting and such don’t make proper use of “upvotes”, though downvotes still work as normal. Instead, “boosts” function as that, but I think they also do other things too so I’m always kinda hesitant to use them since I can’t remember what that is - which iirc may be different for comments vs. posts (which are “articles” in the subs/“magazines”, NOT actually “posts” which are “microblogs” in Mastodon). Often I’ll do both even, or like boosts for articles but only upvote for comments. Yeah, none of us have much clue what we are doing here:-). Plus it’ll change in a few weeks anyway as we get updated to a newer software version.

Pro-Tip: to expand an image-type article (doesn’t work for other types), click the little teensy-tiny icon below it and to the left. Clicking on the actual image is something you’d need to do like 2-3 times otherwise, and then go back, and then lose your place… so that is the #1 tip that I wish I had known to start with!:-P

About posting multiple images: tip from u/niantre: https://kbin.social/m/anothereden/t/26144/-/comment/147736, I think “threads”/microblogs can do up to 10 it but “articles”/threads cannot, being limited to just 1. Or something. That might need to be done from a Mastodon account though… or not?

It should be worth figuring out though, b/c your artwork is freaking amazing, and we want as badly as you if not more so for you to feel comfortable sharing here!:-D

yea for multiple image uploads, unfortunately it’s still a feature request for kbin and ernest is probably inundated with other work right now.

so the best you can do for now for multiple images is link off-site (either as a URL post and attaching a thumbnail, or as a photo post and sharing the URL as a comment).
