Considering their ice cream machines are down most of the time, is it possible that they don’t actually turn a profit when accounting for the machinery + constant repairs?

Their ice cream machines probably aren’t actually broken often. Really they’re probably just cleaning them or replaced the shake mix recently and are waiting for the ice cream to be made but just say “it’s broken” or “it’s down” instead of explaining exactly why.
