Cars can’t be completely removed, we still need to move goods. But we must remove the need for daily high speed transportation of people for basic needs.
If we can’t do that, I bet against humanity surviving the next 20 years.
Pushing for a societal change in the future doesn’t change the material demand today. Investment into transportation infrastructure in emerging economies has drawn widespread criticism for being “a poor use of public money” and being “debt traps.”
