Was a great game to watch. Was worried Cadiz were going to play very defensively and we would struggle to break them down, but it was fairly open with chances at both ends. Many players who needed something to feel good about will be smiling after today: Rodrygo got his shooting boots back, Lunin looked better than Kepa, Ceballos is back from injury, and Gonzalo made his debut. Many of Cadiz’s players, despite the score line, looked very good. Refereeing was solid with no major mistakes or bias (though maybe that last goal should have been checked? The Kroos challenge to get the ball was rough). All in all, the game left me with a smile on my face, not just because of the win. Hope Cadiz stay up, I have a soft spot for them because of Alex Fernandez and Victor Chust, even though Ivan Alejo deserves to be launched into the segunda.
