I think people are misunderstanding the Spurs squad situation as an injury crisis. Yes there are a lot of players out, but it’s not the number of players, it’s the specific players and the lack of depth behind them.

Even with players healthy, we would be bound to struggle without VdV and Maddison. Those two have been transformative signings in areas of weakness we’ve had for years.

Although the current CB situation is shambolic, us Spurs fans knew this could happen based on the status of the squad after the summer window.

Ange seems like a good manager tbh. But we’ll see what he’s made off now with the new manager bounce gone and has to deal with injuries and all the other BS. He needs to be backed to get more players who fit his system otherwise he’ll be scapegoated unfortunately

Unai Emery has Aston Villa in 4th. What a fucking madman. Give this prodigy a team with Villa in it’s name and he will work miracles.

I know it’s hypothetical, but I reckon Spurs win that if Bentancur didn’t need to go off.

Luiz was class and Villa just cut through the mid on the counter as soon as he went off.

Yeah we really regress whenever Hojbjerg has to play as our 6, he’s not a bad player but he’s like the antithesis of an Angeball player lol.

The amount of Spurs fans wishing Matty Cash serious injury and even cancer in their sub is disturbing but not surprising. Just spent 10 minutes reporting 30+ accounts for threatening violence. 1 ban already came through, hopefully many more.

He’s a dirty player that has injured a number of players. Of course he’s hated.

The cancer thing is beyond childish but I don’t think redditors have that ability.

Especially when it was such a nothing tackle. He was late and it was a foul but hardly malicious.

Villa absolutely overwhelmed in the first half, game should’ve been over by 30 mins. Seems like the press really dropped off in the second half. December might not be too kind to Tottenham.

Almost as if when we lost 4 or 5 key starters and had to play the same old culprits under our previous managers, we start playing seeing the same problems.

Villa is down 4 regulars as well, all 4 would be starters at least every other fixture at worst. (Mings, Buendia, Moreno and then Ramsey made his return today but isn’t fully fit yet which is why they gave him the late sub).

Zaniolo was also out today for an unknown injury

Don’t see us whining about it every damn second

Mate mate mate mate you wouldn’t believe it mate but Unai Emery’s brilliant Aston Villa side went up to the media darling’s backyard and utterly smoked them mate. They conceded first mate but then Big Pau Torres headed a towering header home past Big Ainge’s keeper mate then Ollie Watkins grabbed the game-winner mate, oh my God mate unreal scenes to witness mate and such a dagger to the hearts of Sky Sports and every other UK-based media who hyped up these lot while the whole world knows these guys have losing in their club’s DNA and their downfall was only a matter of time mate
