I think sectoral bargaining would also be a tool in unionizing gig working environments. Gig workers don’t necessarily have a shop to unionize and are often disconnected from each other. Allowing them to act together as ‘Skip the Dishes drivers’ or ‘Uber drivers’ would be a great help in letting these workers organize and level the playing field.
