I was listening to the podcast “The War on Cars”, and one of their guests lost a toddler being pushed by stroller in a car crash.

Apparently, when money was paid out, the parents of the toddler did not get first dibs… it went to their insurance company.

Ultimately, she got enough government support to put an end to that practice, but I 100% believe you that insurance companies are assholes.
