these are the consequences of Microsoft releasing a console that’s way weaker than all the others and telling developers they need games to run with all the same features on it… they finally backed off on the split screen parity, so I couldn’t say specifically what’s holding it up anymore, but they’re pretty clear that it’s because the series s simply can’t run it…
they could release it whenever for the series x. the series s is single handedly holding back the potential of any games that want to come out on console.

The Xbox series s is extremely capable. The actual issue is the poor optimization job that the devs have done in thier game.

The series s is a zen 2 8 core 16 thread cpu running st similar clock speeds to ps5 and series x thay also have zen 2 8 core 16 thread cpus. The zen 2 in the series consoles also have more cache than the ps5 and the clock speed isn’t variable like the ps5. That means the series s can actually have better cpu performance than the ps5. The zen 2 cpu is also far and away more powerful than the amd fx 8350 cpu which is over a decade old cpu . That is the minimum cpu they recommend for the pc version

The series s also has an rdna2 gpu. The minimum gpus are gtx 970 or radeon 480. The series s gpu is the same generation as the series x.

This game runs in the steam deck just fine which is a slower clocked zen 2 4 core 8 thread cpu running at half the clock speed as the series s. The deck has an rdna 2 gpu also but it runs at lower clocks and has less cu’s than the series s version

So when it’s all saod and done this is the devs being incompetent when it comes to optimizing for other platforms. You can also see this with all the complaints about poor act 3 performance on the pc.
