I think it’s a great idea. Since bikes are more agile than cars, it should make bylaw ticketing more efficient.

Here’s to hoping that bylaw officers can also relay any feedback to their higher-ups about gaps in cycling infrastructure around the city.

    We should also put more police on bikes. It would be beneficial if the law enforcement is able to see the world from a cycling perspective.

      Oh, I do agree, but I think everyone should ride a bike on public infrastructure at least once.

      I wish I could link the video, but I remember seeing some simulated demo where they simulated cycling when a truck passes, just to give people an idea of what it’s like to bike near moving vehicles. It was highly effective. Everyone should experience that just once to understand why we aren’t doing enough to keep cyclists safe.

      I know that this was part of at least one driver’s education program for truck drivers.
