I’ve lurked for a long time in the UFO/UAP subs on reddit and now that I’ve switched I see a lot less info than before (also it’s a new community in lemmy so it needs a bit of time).
Anyone seen anything interesting in the last weeks regarding David Grusch’s statements? Any interesting new theories? Etc.
US Congress is in recess, so we won’t probably have any big news until the Senate hearings in September.
Other than that, I think the biggest news is that the Senate has sent the NDAA back to the house without objections on the UFO disclosure amendment. This amendment gives the US government the power to seize from private hands any materials, whether biological or not, that can be reasonably considered to be evidence of non-human intelligence. If al goes according to plan, this could become law by the end of this year.

Right? Like it seems this is a very bi-partisan effort that’s moving surprisingly easy. What’s the catch?

It is big news when you take it in context: why would both parties write and support an amendment that gives Congress such power? What motivated them to write such specific and aggressive language? One would be forgiven for thinking that they know exactly where the UFOs are stored, which is consistent with what Grusch has been saying.
