I think this is more a case of him being wrong because he’s incredibly stupid, not because he’s lying.

But who fucking knows with this guy…?

I am of the belief RFK is essentially the only fucker in the cabinet not evil. He’s incredibly stupid and arrogant for not listening to experts, but I think he truly believes he’s doing what’s best for people.

He’s still gonna kill a shit ton of people, sadly.

Without looking into it at all, maybe he is thinking it isn’t ultra processed? Either way, he’s still an idiot.

I would presume that, you are correct, he doesn’t understand what the term “processed“ means in food preparation context. He probably thinks that it isn’t processed because it’s just, slaughtered, shipped, cut, and packed and shipped again.

He’s ruling, not by fact, but by “vibes”. I bet he “feels “that the word “processed” means that it’s “stuffed full of chemicals and GMO”. Which, is in and of itself, another remarkably stupid statement to make. But I’ll save that for another time.

Theres quite a bit in between “shipped” and “cut” for bacon. Curing salt (brining or dry application, to prevent bacteria from growing while in the temperature danger zone), this process takes a week or so, and then smoking it (preservation/flavor).
