Think of the games Last of Us and Red Redemption 2 running beautifully on 5+ years hardware that both have had heads turning in the gaming industry even the pc gamers thanks to the crafty optimizations made by the developers.
The same deal could happen with the Pinetime as it is open source with an unlocked bootloader and has incredibly talented contributors. It would be funny watching people with Apple Watch Ultra 2s start asking us questions about our humble little Pinetimes because of the killer features we have invented on such limited hardware.
Its amazing to what you can do with more eyeballs on the software. I couldn’t accept that the apple watch forces you to replace the entire device when the battery degrades, forcing the community to contend with their locked watch faces and the new features that are arbitrarily locked behind the latest devices even though the older hardware can run that stuff just fine.
