Not much to say, respect to Molde who are the way stronger team at this level. In terms of general play and chances there wasn’t much between the sides over these two matches, Häcken might even had slightly more chances overall but still the aggregate scoreline is a crushing 8-2. The likes of Eikrem and Gulbrandsen are so clinical and lightyears above any forward Häcken has
In some ways I admire that Häcken continues to play their all out attack kamikaze football even in Europe but they just don’t have the individual talent to make it work at this level. Even in Allsvenskan their defence is really shaky let alone against opponents of this quality. They just give away simple goals every time
Extremely important coefficient points in the battle for top 15. 4 wins in a row for Norwegian teams in Europe now.
Is the Norwegian league stronger than the Swedish one in general ?
First game in a long while where the team hasnt looked disjointed. Much better back three with Øyvann, Haugan and Ellingsen than Hagelskjær and Bjørnbak.
Løvik keeps taking steps and has a great future ahead.
Kind of cool to see us starting with 11 Norwegians including 4 locals
Häcken were closer over the two games than the score suggests, but at the same time they are doing classic somewhat naive Høgmo stuff and got punished for it a bunch of times.
Well thats dissapointing, would have expected the Swedish champions to at least pick up 3 points. Hopefully Malmo can qualify for Europe next year.
