    Hmm. After reading the article, it appears to be touchy. SK happens to have less acceptance of the LGBTQ community than the US (which is saying something).

    So they’re taking the step of including a trans character, but stopping shy of exposing an out trans woman (seemingly the more contentious of the two typical trans genders).

      Yeah, I was initially disappointed by the reports that they cast a cis man in the role, but it kind of seems defensible after reading this

        They’re brave for even making a character trans in SK film in the first place. They should be applauded for that.

      To add that parenthesized part is to know very little about overall LGBTQ support around the world.
