Thank you, this was actually inspiring. I’d like to imagine I was making a better world before, and will continue to do so with all my strengths.

Look, if you can just keep persisting, there’s a good chance you will outlive this, and that he won’t. I outlived Reagan, although clearly his legacy of evil continues. Stay strong, and look out for those even more vulnerable than yourself.

Help others. Combat the cruelty.
You can sacrifice some pride/comfort/identity or go persist in Canada. There are lots of options that don’t involve anything tragic. None are great because of the horrors and that your agency over them is limited.
