Email gate, scientism, etc… The dishonesty in the sciences, the politicization of the sciences is why it exists.

No one to blame but themselves.

The scientific method is arguably one of the greatest things man has developed. But (to quote another commenter) we can be beasts, and permitting the amoral among us to twist such tools to their agendas is a moral failing of their peers.

Just like any group, those not “cleaning house” hold responsibility for the problems.

The irreproducability problems, the incessant publication of junk science, etc, devalues the good work. When a a subject matter expert reads bullshit in their field of expertise, it makes them second guess everything else.
