makes sense, baldurs gate hits similar audience to starfield. Although I wonder if their release will be that big anyways, since their early access was so polished based on the reviews, many people got it
Looking forward to playing the full game. I stopped spending time with the pre-release version to not get burnt out ahead of time.
I this is a good decision in an industry where the release sales are so important.
So excited for this game. I still play BG1 & 2 occasionally, as well as some of the others (IWD, NWN), and they still hold up to this day. Incredible storytelling.
I also wish they would release a port of Pool of Radiance. I know it’s mostly just a grinding game, but so much fun.
You mean Ruins of Myth Drannor from 2001, not the older one by SSI?
I remember I really tried to give that game a chance back then, but after a while I just gave up.
The first part with those mindless dungeon levels bore me to hell. The worst part about them were the dozens of zombies, that visually moved ultra-slow but somehow could cross the whole screen in one turn, making every fight take ages. And then when I finally got to the town after hours, finally met a few NPCs, it seemed like things might become slightly interesting… And then a cutscene makes the game crash. Absolutely no way to go farther than that.
Rarely have I been more frustrated by a game.
That’s the one! Lol, the ridiculous grinding in that game… I don’t even remember any actual story (I’m sure there was, but still).
It’s weird how much I disliked it when I first played it, but now I have sort of nostalgia for it.
