Still trying to figure out why this new version can’t recognise famous faces?..have just tried asking for Dolly Parton…it obviously knows who i’m on about as the outfit & hairstyle are exactly like hers (without any prompts from me btw)…but I keep on getting the same female face that keeps appearing on every person i’m trying to recreate,no matter how much facial detail I put in…is there some sort of fault with this new version?..or is there something blocking users from getting the results they want…How did the old version know how to create images of anyone famous (or even not that famous)…did it search the internet & come up with suggestions?..can’t this new version do that?

Anyone know what the issue is with this site at the moment…been trying to generate text from image uploads for a few days but keep getting an error message.

Here’s hoping…just feels like it’s gone beyond backwards on the celeb side of things…have tried & tried to recreate the faces i’m after but as I said previously,just keep on getting the same female face time after time (wish i’d stocked up on creating on the previous version)…the site is great for creating random images but has become pretty much useless if you’re tying to create images “based” on famous faces (even obscure actors).

So how come so many people on here say it’s “not legal” whenever anyone mentions it?..Ok,so hopefully sooner rather than later this updated version will get back to being somewhere as good as it used to be…?

Agree,I find some of the responses to fans of the old version quite condescending & ignorant…not very classy.

Here here…the new version is a poor relation of the old…but we seem to be stuck with it.

Seems daft if there’s some sort of ban on using/recognising “celebrity” faces…inevitable that at some point they’ll find their way back onto the system so why not just put it back to how it was before this wretched update.

In the meantime how many who loved the old version are going to give up on this new version - the incredibly slow waiting speeds for images to generate & over complicated way of using this version (compared to the simplicity of the previous version) are very off putting…am I better off coming back in 6 months (or longer)…?

Fair enough - I hate to complain but for me the site was perfect as it was - if in 6 months it’s as good as it was then great - but it’s a long time to wait though to get back to where we were!

Yes but it’s not just the fact that it no longer recognises “celebs”,it’s the fact that some of the old styles are nothing like they were - tintin comic,franco/belgian comic,50s enamel sign,vintage comic,vintage pulp art etc etc are now Nothing like they were or are anywhere near as good…how is this progress?..surely these styles should’ve stayed as they were even if there is some sort of new engine running this site.

Personally speaking It’s become useless to me…whether that will change in 6 months,who knows?..just feels like it’s gone backwards…what happens if we all get used to this version then he decides to “upgrade” it again & we’re back to square one?..sometimes new isn’t always better.

Yes it was great for that sort of thing…I can only hope that in a few months it will have learned what “celebs” look like when trying to get a resemblance…the old version used to nail most of them.

The thing is it’s taking SO long to wait for just 2 images that i’m not prepared to wait just to see how wrong it is…the old version would create dozens of images in seconds.

I’m guessing it’s cost money to make these changes BUT if I had a website that users absolutely loved then changed it and “most” users hated those changes,i’d change it back in an instant…“the customer is always right” (D-Fens).

That is what it feels like…feels like it’s been deliberately sabotaged because it was so good.

Have to agree with you…i’d happily pay for the old version…I used to come on here every day to create…now I only come on to read the comments…alas people very rarely (if ever) listen to the “customer”,they just plough on regardless afraid of admitting to a mistake.
