Oh so many things, from savory hotdogs in a fresh bun, curry bread, melon bread, cream filled puff balls, honey crisp Texas toast, you name it. It’s a little pricey in the US but when I stayed in Japan, there was a tiny hole in the wall right next door that sold them for 150 yen a piece. It sustained us the whole month, every morning.
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

taiyang@lemmy.worldto World News@quokk.au•Trump says he will designate Antifa as a ‘terrorist organization’ without providing further details5·5 hours agoWas thinking about this all night after hearing the statement before bed. It reminds me of a right wing ex-family friend that blamed antifa and Soros for everything. Right wingers genuinely think there is a Soros backed terrorist organization called Antifa similar to the Proud Boys, etc (which actually exist) that cause everything they hate.
At the time he was explaining this, it was in regards to how all the college kids protesting Gaza “had the same tents” (aka the cheapest tents on Amazon lol) and that Antifa was backing them. Basically, it’s the propaganda boogyman they’ve used for a few years now.
But here’s what I’m trying to figure out … What happens when you chase after the boogyman? Sure the people in charge are just using it as an excuse to be anyone they don’t like, but if you’re a true believer like the followers, what will constitute evidence of being Antifa? Owning a fucking tent?

Yeah that was a really weird scene in cars when they were driving for fun down Route 66. Very nsfw.

Not just because of POTUS being a snowflake but because they want to rewrite history and change the narrative.
I’m hopeful that with the genie out of the bottle, this can be reversed with a vengeance. Sanity needs to hold out long enough for these people to be out of power, though, and I’m not certain it will without people fighting back on a united front.
Oh! Sorry, yes. Well, status, but probably interchangable.

In fact, pirate it to truly honor my culture. Lol
Don’t give imperial units any ideas!

We can count them. - AzExpress12·1 day agoThe Fuentes part has been floated around cause of the memes in the bullet casings. I wouldn’t call Tyler left leaning, but possibly questioning his right wing roots. There is evidence he’s unaffiliated by party, though, which should be unsurprising given his age. Its easy to look that up, though I’m not op.
Ops overall point does stand, though, as Tyler is raised in right wing gun culture even if his motive is unclear at this time.
And even then… an economics professor I had once suggested minorities are in lower SES because of genetics. Very much not a good, or accurate take. This was in 2010s.
Hm… so, I’ve seen conservative faculty before, and no, it’s not great because you get some pretty wild takes. It’s especially true of culturally conservative types (but less so of fiscal conservatives, they usually just have weirdly biased and racist takes).
First, consider the type of ideology – if you get past the anti-science types that reject all evidence, conservatives who try to listen to evidence do some pretty wild mental gymnastics to maintain contradictions between science and religion. E.g. I knew a women who believed in Noah’s ark but also was in psychology. To her, it was a bottleneck in human genetics, but like, c’mon. Bottlenecks are usually a few hundred, not a single family, lol.
This isn’t so bad in some fields, but in social sciences it really falls apart because philosophically, you’re talking about determinism and the concept of God’s given free will, personal responsibility, etc, which gets challenged when your science is literally saying these behaviors are a result of environmental and genetic reasons. Sociology, criminology, psychology, all these make no sense at the core when you apply conservative ideology.

I didn’t go shoot up people since I wasn’t raised right wing, but love does make you do crazy things!

Are we going to start using codes now, the same way they do in other censured countries?
Rest in lemonade, Charlie.
I get the sense the political direction of the week is up, right, down, down, down.
Laptop is a misnomer, especially gaming ones, because they get too hot to be in your lap. Workstations, notebooks, Ultrabooks, etc, all different classifications.
Upside, if you do use it on your lap, it doubles as birth control. (Joke, please do not do this).
Oh no, that’s literally today’s lecture on ADHD and strengths based pedagogy, haha.
Real talk tho, best strategy is to pair up with your compliment. Plus, one persons “impulsive” is another person’s “initiative” so if you’re blessed with that flavor of ADHD, you might actually be a good leader someday.
In my experience, it’s also just… normal looking people doing kinda weird poses while you draw, paint or whatever.
Like, man, I’m not turned on by this 60 year old man with a stick changing his position every minute for gesture drawing. In fact, it’s quite literally the opposite of a pole dancer!
Oh, this was on the news here. Apparently it’s an interesting bedfellows case where parties don’t matter so much at location. Not even city vs rural, but more complex than that.
So. Cal is generally on the side against this bill, although aside from NIMBYS, I’m not really sure why. We need it more than anyone else, frankly.
