  • Yeah, but as you get older people a certain number of years younger than you start looking like legit children. And personally, I feel like a wider range of life experiences (on average) matter more to women than to men.

But also, this chart is flawed in that we don’t know how many people per age/per gender were asked, how they calculated variation, what the error rate is, or even what the source of the data is. It’s literally just a Microsoft Office chart.

  • HP Lovecraft racist or rich white woman born in the 30s racist?

That’s literally the same racism, when do you think HP Lovecraft was living/writing…?

Also, we gotta stop giving old people passes. They have the ability to change, they just choose to be bigots. My 90+ year old grandma wholeheartedly embraces my trans friends even if she doesn’t fully understand how or why “Robert” became “Annalise”, and she had never interacted with a trans person in her life before then.

Brigitte Bardot was just a racist, xenophobic bitter POS until the end.

  • Stranger Things 5 Vol. 2: I was under the impression that it was all coming out on Xmas, kind of peeved that I have to wait until NYE for the last episode. Netflix is really milking it.

The Residence (Netflix): I wanted another murder mystery after watching the new Knives out, and wow this one was a very cool one. Stylish, great premise, I really liked Cordelia Cupp (I love a quirky detective). FANTASTIC ensemble cast too. It kind of drags in episodes 4-5, but the set up is great, and episodes 6-8 really nailed the ending. Sad it won’t get another season, but the show is self contained so it’s still worth a watch for any mystery fans.

  • Unironically, children. Stranger Things has been in production for ten years, the kids that were too young to watch when season 1 came out grew up hearing about it and then finally being able to watch it. If you see any of the ST communities online, it’s a huge mix of age groups, and I think the writers have had to dumb some stuff down for a younger, more casual, less 80s pop-culture attuned and nerdy audience.

Also, I wouldn’t say every season is awesome. S5 especially is very much suffering from 2nd screen writing issues that most Netflix shows have, but isn’t apparent in S1 and S2.
