  • Religion exists by virtue of being forced on people. Many gently reject it and many are battered and beaten mentally until they don’t. People born into religious families will very very often share their family religion and other beliefs no matter what they are. People who have nothing else to turn to will often choose religion because it gives them hope and a group to belong to. Anybody who likes you will try to get you to do their things with them whether it’s praying or playing a specific tabletop RPG. It’s a pain in the ass and the people who don’t understand “No” aren’t worth your time.

  • Not sure why you feel like it comes from non-Americans. I’m not suggesting a riot or a strike. But for now protesting is relatively safe. The most dangerous thing I’ve seen are the people who will heckle protesters. Protesting will also help you make connections with other people which is incredibly important right now.

  • I have had worse confrontations than this and walked away friends. I didn’t seek retribution and I didn’t fucking punish my neighbor when he said some of the most foul things about me I’ve heard to date. I’ve worked out each of my differences with as much reason as I could in the situation and without a lust for goddamn retribution. Why? Because I’m a fucking adult. Because when someone shits on your day or keys your car you don’t do it back. You aren’t an animal. You treat them like you’d expect a real person to treat you. Have harsh words. Lose your cool. We all have emotions. But when it all settles down and you can think with a cool head, be respectful, kind, (and most retributive; most painful for others) be the bigger fucking man. What I see is an adult who has never seen the consequences of acting like a child and it shows every single day now.
