Yes, but the question is why. Is it based on logic based reasons or due to the misinformation campaign? Because they think the current Conservatives will actually do anything to make substantial changes to address these issues or because idiots like Rogan and Mcleary tell them to hate the other side? Is it because they’re not getting enough or just because someone else is getting something?

It’s not like anybody is going to start building thousands of $500000+ houses and selling them at cost to the middle class. The only thing the feds would do to address housing would be to build low cost housing again. I can imagine how that would go over with the crowd we’re talking about

I’ve lived in a small rural prairie riding all my life. It’s been not conservative one term in the last 40-50 years. The people who complain the most about Canada being broken are the ones who have owned their houses since the 90’s and worked the same jobs for pretty much as long and have the health care system all their long lives and starting to collect cpp even while continuing to work, as long as it doesn’t put them too much into the next tax bracket. They can’t really explain how Canada is broken for them, beyond talking points. They can’t really explain what they think Conservatives will do to fix the things they don’t really know are wrong. They just vote conservative because liberal bad. The fuck Carney signs came out the day after he was confirmed as Liberal party leader. There was no time to formulate a hate for him, it was immediately implemented mindlessly

So because they’re willing to say anything to get elected they’re a better option? What have the conservatives actually done in the last 30 years to help working class Canadians? Are we supposed to suddenly trust them now that they realize they have to have actual policies instead of just ‘hate this one guy’? Are we meant to ignore decades of Polivere’s voting record?

Yes he has trained lots. And lots. And lots. And long ago discovered he doesn’t like to get hit. And that his biggest fear is losing so he does everything in his power to avoid any situation where he’s not in a safe space.

I don’t want to defend seagull in anyway. But Rogan stopped competing decades ago, as soon as he realized he wasn’t very good at anything but commenting on other people. He’s a paper tiger with a fragile ego. Any situation he’s in has to be totally in his control, including something as dumb as an arm wrestle with a subordinate or a “free speech” comedy club that has more security than the Pentagon. Epitome of a paper tiger.

The End of the World Podcast was started by Stanhope as a joke, but you could tell as the night went on that people like Doug and Burr realized something bad was coming. Rogan came back to the show, drunk as fuck after doing a set, and started shitting on them for being so dramatic. He knew his bubble of privilege just got more secure so screw everybody else, especially his idiot followers.

Pretty sure he stopped competing in any kind of martial arts long ago, and that was only ever Tae Kwon do. I’m sure he trains hard but seagull was a legitimate practitioner too and over a foot taller. Neither one would do much competing in the wild against anybody who wasn’t paid to lose to them now. Joe does love sharing that video of him kicking a bag hard though.

Just because someone fails at their attempted crime doesn’t make them any less a criminal. Just means they’re bad at it.

People will be saying the same type of things about Canada soon; how it was our fault for letting our military decline, how we bought so much American product, how we let their culture take us over, how we didn’t cultivate a bigger place for ourselves in the world but were content to live complacent next to a volcano.

For the most part people don’t want the consrant struggle. Just to vote when it’s time, keep up with global events, maybe protest if it’s a big enough issue. But we still need to focus on family and career, fun and rest, peace and quiet.

For Them, the cause is their job, their activities, their meaning. I don’t think most of us realize how big the industry to manufacture consent is. When they have a bill prepared, before it even gets legislated they’re already working on the next step, either how to redo it if it fails or how to build on it if it passes. They don’t sleep, winning is their only purpose.

I just don’t think we can afford to alienate anyone on our side. Telling someone there’s nothing they can do to make something right generally just makes them think they have to look out for themselves.

Small Achievable Goals has promise, only a couple episodes in though. North of North had been mentioned and I like it way more than I thought I would. Children Ruin Everything is a really good Canadian show, but I don’t know if it’s on Gem.
