US nutrition labels have used grams for my entire (over 30 year) life so that’s probably why everyone uses them for online macro counting.

Aioli is not mayonnaise though. There’s no egg, just garlic and oil. Although I bet a bunch of restaurant aiolis are technically mayo.
I bought a SIM from lebara mobile when traveling to europe once because it had 10x more data than other companies for the same price and it blocked VPN.

1·1 month agoI haven’t used theirs for search because I was so annoyed at llms on other search engines. I do love their translation llm because it gives multiple suggestions for the best translation of text. Nuance is refreshing in the world of AI.
I hoped durian would be one of those tastes better than it smells foods, but unfortunately to me it tastes exactly like it smells.

6·1 month agoI went to a bike shop once who ridiculed me for wanting to buy (from them) a nice seat for my “cheap” bike (it was the most expensive bike I had ever bought). I just wanted to be able to ride more than 50 km without butt pain. I never returned to them but I wonder what their response would have been if they saw it after I added a rack and milk crate so I could go touring.
