People look at me funny when I tell them my favorite genres of music are punk rock and country (for the record, I’m covered I tattoos and piercings and I train MMA/BJJ so the punk rock fits their expectations. Country most certainly does not). They’re always like “wait, what?” and it’s just like, have you ever listened to Woodie Guthrie or Johnny fuckin’ Cash? Dudes are punk as fuck (I do love me some 90s country though and I’m going to see Clint Black and Clay Walker in a couple weeks). I think both genres fit the" three chords and the truth" bill.
